Get tropically soft lips with only 3 ingredients !
Picture this: The sweet scent of fresh gardenia and sea air envelops your senses while you lounge under your own private linen and rattan cabana feet away from a peaceful tropical lagoon. Just as you lower your sunglasses to look at your right and notice your glass of freshly made pina colada is looking concerningly empty, the handsome, tanned cabana boy whose monoi oil soaked abs glisten in the warm tropical sun heading towards you, new drink in hand. He places your drink next to you, biceps pulsing as he lowers the drink to the table. Approvingly, you take a sip with the delicious flavour of coconut and pineapple rushing to your lips.
Then suddenly you snap back to reality
For a lot of us this year, life may feel as far from that image as ever before. As winter approaches us in the Northern Hemisphere, with many of us facing lockdown limitations, we are brought further and further from our tropical fantasies. However, here at The Pineapple Everything, we try our hardest to return that tropical joy you long for all year round, and this weeks blog will even try to temporarily bring you that delicious coconut and pineapple flavour to your lips just like your fantasy entailed--this time in the form on an incredibly easy sugar lip scrub!

How to make a Pineapple Lip Scrub
- 1 1/2 cup cane sugar
- ½ cup coconut oil
- ¼ – ½ pineapple (1/2 cup puree)
Take your pineapple and puree it in a blender for about 40 seconds, pushing down the extra chunks as needed. Blend coconut oil, which you can also melt if it’s easier to process. Add the pineapple coconut mixture in a bowl and add 1 1/2 cups cane sugar to your mix. If your desired scrub consistency is thicker, add more sugar as needed.
And voila! In less than five minutes you’ve got yourself a delicious pineapple lip scrub that brings a rush of tropical flavour to your lips while scrubbing away the curse of winter: dry lips! Store your scrub in the fridge to keep it fresh for the next few weeks to make sure it lasts longer!
